A visit at Stanford Medicine

In 2020, I got a grant from the France-Stanford Center for interdisciplinary studies. This grant is dedicated to build collaborations between French universities and Standford especially by stays of researchers at Stanford. Due to the COVID crisis, my trip was postponed two years.
In May 2022, I finally moved to Daldrup-Link Lab at Stanford Medicine. The group is a perfect balance of Material scientist, biologists and clinicians with one common aim: developing medical imaging.

During my 2 months stay, I met marvelous researchers and learn about new imaging techniques especially Magnetic Particle Imager, an instrument able to detect magnetic nanoparticles for diagnosis applications. I also met Dr. M. Hajipour with whom we discussed (and are still discussing) about interactions between NPs and proteins.
Edit: The fruitful collaboration with M. Hajipour led to an interesting publication about the influence of in vivo proteins on NPs’ blood biocirculation.

California is also a fantastic state to live in. My flat was at Mountain View (the city of Google) and we had the opportunity to visit many places in family (Yosemite Park and San Francisco for exemple below).
